Access Data:

Spatiotemporal maps (image data) collected on the Muroto cable using distributed acoustic sensing technology can be obtained using the direct link: doi:10.5258/SOTON/D2841 or using University of Southampton public repository link.

In particular, this dataset contains two subfolders, named "Images_commercial_DAS" and "Images_highresolution_DAS". "Images_commercial_DAS": 1,461 spatiotemporal maps obtained from a commercial distributed acoustic sensing device. "Images_highresolution_DAS": 16 spatiotemporal maps obtained from a state-of-the-art distributed acoustic sensing system, designed and developed at the University of Southampton.

The specific dataset used for the development of the classification model are available upon request (write to: ioannis.matthaiou<at>bath.edu).

Classifier model availability:

A Jupyter Notebook was uploaded on a dedicated GitHub repository. The notebook can be used to compute predictions on a similar set of test images (i.e., spatiotemporal maps obtained from distributed acoustic sensing technology).

Please follow the instructions on the Jupyter Notebook to run the model.
